British Colombia’s Playnow.com has been live in Saskatchewan for only three months, yet it has turned a staggering $31.8 million in revenue.

Born from the historic partnership between the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and SaskGaming, together with British Colombia, Playnow.com is the province’s first and only regulated casino.

Success for Playnow.com in Saskatchewan

SIGA was the first to provide insight into the platform’s performance, stating a profit of $14.8 million in the first month (November) and $17 million the following month.

With 8,015 registrations in just the first two months, it is estimated that on average each player staked $3,967 in wagers. Once you remove any winnings that were staked again and promotions, the figure drops down significantly, but it still delivers substantial revenue.

Michael Bellegarde, SIGA’s Director of iGaming, had this to say: “We’re quite pleased. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, being a new product to the province. So we’re very happy.”

The casino section of the platform brought in the highest revenue, $30.6 million, whereas the sports section lagged behind at $1.2 million only.

“One of the things that surprised me a little bit is that sports is not as big a driver for net as the slot machines,” Michael Bellegard has noted.

He goes on to point out that millions of dollars are invested in sports advertising each year, indicating that a lot of revenue lies there, however, in Saskatchewan, this does not seem to be the case.

Playnow.com – A success story

Just like Playnow.com gained success in its province of origin, British Colombia, and later on in Manitoba, it looks very likely that it will be a hit in Saskatchewan too.

The casino offers a variety of lotteries, online slots, live dealer tables by Evolution Gaming, Poker, Bingo and Sports betting.

Players from the province can make use of a number of promotions that cater for every single game type, as well as, accumulate loyalty points.
